Burn pits 講白一點，就是從前那種不環保燒垃圾的地方。
在伊拉克，垃圾處理是一大問題，所以啦，將就一點，就全都給它燒了。
這個燒垃圾的地方，就叫做Burn pits。

Many soldiers who went through Balad became used to "Iraqi crud," as they dubbed the symptom of excessive coughing and black phlegm.
